Question for longtime Democrats poised to again pull D lever
What issues and positions did Democrat Party candidates emphasize when you first found that party attractive (in whatever past decade applies in your case)?
Do those conditions still exist?
If the conditions that initially prompted your loyalty no longer exist, why do you feel compelled to persist in support?
Democrats' 1972 New Directions platform, for instance, included among pillars full employment, tax policies, the Equal Rights Amendment, busing, and increased school funding.
Issues today's Democrat Party and its national figures push unlimited immigration; censorship of opposing voices; trans 'rights'; despisal of Israel -- the world's one and only Jewish state -- and of Jews in general; the mutilation of toddlers' genitalia; racial bigotry against white men; Islamic subjugation of women and girls; particular and general violence as tools for advancement of interests; use of legal, commercial, and economic pressures to cripple political adversaries and force citizen compliance; repression of Christianity; the distorting of objective realities -- both historical and biological ones -- to tailor them to prevailing political and cultural orthodoxies; the destruction of American capitalism; and ensuant adoption of socialist and communist systems.
Again, were any of the above endorsed by the Democrat Party when you originally found it magnetic? If not...
