Win or lose, Democrats will keep going hard left
One version of a quote the left loves (and that is frequently misattributed to Ghandi) reads: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."
That assurance of ultimate victory explains why, whether November election tallies prompt woke tears or communist handstands, Democrats will forge onward in terrible crusade.
Among issues liberals trumpeted in 2020, and that were later understood to have contributed to Democrats' ruination, were open borders; granting citizenship to millions of foreign invaders already here; transgenderism - even for toddlers; and abundant American tax-money largesse to dubious international interests.
Democrats today continue to champion those. Defeat does nothing to dissuade revolutionaries, whose eyes remain fixed on long-game strategy.
Chinese communists call theirs a "Hundred-Year Plan." Democrats may have their own 'hundred-year' scheme. One already sees rampant subversive infiltration of domestic spheres like the educational, legal, and entertainment ones. Those corruptions are already somewhat aged.
Across America, numerous electoral enemies of all that is moral and common-sensical are buoyed atop Democrat bigwigs' shoulders. They euphemize their ill-natures, values, and intents with fuzzy con-phrase "Democratic Socialist."
Do not misapprehend. They represent the same pernicious, America-hating mindset that brave countrymen have battled abroad. American soldiers who fought -- many making the supreme sacrifice -- to crush megalomaniacal foes surely did not envision future generations at home ceding national power to fresh iterations of that same evilness.
New York City voters installed Zohran Mamdani in Gracie Mansion. Giddy at that awful spectacle, Democrats now push other, equally distasteful candidates like Abdul El-Sayed, Angie Nixon, Christopher Rabb, Cory Bush, and Melot Kiros.
(This writer could enumerate more, but does not wish to aid publicity interests.)
All of the above, of course, were encouraged by the ballot successes of so-called "Squad" members. Ideologically tilted extremism and hostility toward our nation have assumed apex status among Democrats.
Even Democrat office-aspirants who may not be of radical persuasions, would surely vote in lockstep with whatever their party's interests dictated. As the leftward surge continues in that party, obedient operatives would hasten to formation.
Radicals may be relatively scant in number, but longtime rank-and-file Democrat voters can be expected to endorse anyone whose name is followed by a D, particularly when that candidate fulminates against the hated President Trump.
We can't ignore them. We understandably laugh at them. We are called by patriotism to fight them. And we must ensure they crumble in eternal ignominy.
